SCOTT COUNTY Principal GIS Developer
Performs the most complex & difficult GIS work in development, design, analysis, testing, & implementation to deliver new & innovative technical solutions to internal & external customers. Works with considerable independence developing GIS systems & solutions through knowledge of all phases of the software development life cycle. Works collaboratively with staff in IT & the business units to leverage GIS integration with other applications & systems, providing project management & business analysis services to others. Min Quals: Requires equivalency of a bachelor’s degree and five years complex IT experience in GIS (map creation, general computer usage, GIS analysis, and database manipulation); OR, programming/development of environments with ESRI products or products competitive to ESRI; OR analyst experience manipulating data, integrating data formats, and organizing data using database products. Valid driver’s license is required. Technologies used will include: ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Desktop, MS SQL Server, ArcSDE, ArcIMS, Microsoft .Net, Silverlight, Python, XML, Visual Studio, MS SharePoint, Java, JavaScript, ASP, C#, ASP.NET and JSP. Hiring Rate: $60,922 to $91,382 - DOQ. Selection Method: Rating of Training & Experience. Posting is open until filled.
